Currently, national federations of Uzbekistan in 32 types of sports are members of international federations and have won the right to participate in various international competitions. Training of physical education and sports specialists is carried out by the State Institute of Physical Education of Uzbekistan. About 2,000 students study every year. The higher educational institution trains physical education teachers and sports coaches. In recent years, individual types of sports have developed rapidly in the republic, and the material and technical base is being modernized based on the requirements accepted in the world. Since 1994, international tournaments with the participation of the world's strongest tennis players have been held every year in all major cities of our country. The main tennis derby of the capital of our republic is the President's Cup tournament, which has been held every year for several years. The world's strongest tennis players, winners and participants of prestigious international competitions such as "Challenger", "Satellite", "Davis Cup" have already become contenders for its main trophy. From time to time, Uzbekistan is becoming a venue for the Asian Boxing Championship, the Asian and Oceanic Taekwondo Championship, the "A" freestyle wrestling international tournament and other prestigious competitions and tournaments. Every two years in the capital of our country international competitions on the national wrestling "Kurash" dedicated to the memory of Amir Temur and Hakim al-Tirmizi are held. In 1999, the capital became the venue for the first world championship of this type of national wrestling with the participation of athletes from 50 countries. The International Wrestling Association (IAK) is currently working to include this type of wrestling in the program of the Olympic Games. During the years of independence, children's sports in Uzbekistan became popular, developed as an integral part of youth policy and the national personnel training program. The fund serves as an effective mechanism for the implementation of goals and tasks in the field of children's sports. The main tasks of the fund are to support the implementation of the state policy in the field of physical education and sports development among children, to arouse interest in sports in the growing young generation, to protect young people from various harmful effects, and to educate them spiritually. patriotism. An important place is given to the introduction of modern forms and methods of physical education of children. To date, more than 23,000 physical education teachers are working in the system of the Ministry of Public Education. In the leading scientific centers and institutes of our country, great attention is paid to the issues of improving their qualifications and retraining. In accordance with the state educational standards and curricula developed on the basis of modern requirements, manuals on physical culture for students of general education schools are being created and put into practice. On the initiative of the fund, practical seminars are held in remote areas, especially in rural areas, with the participation of physical education teachers, coaches, sports veterans, representatives of state and non-state organizations. The fund thoroughly studies the identified shortcomings and problems and determines ways to eliminate them. Necessary conditions have been created for meaningful and interesting organization of free time of schoolchildren. The number of children who regularly play sports is constantly increasing. About 400 youth sports schools under the Ministry of Public Education have been effectively organized. They were provided with qualified coaches, sports sections and the employment of schoolchildren were increased. In Uzbekistan, great attention is paid to physical education and sports.
