8-Blue Mullajonov Isfandiyor Polar bears Endangered species have a huge impact on the environment due to it is made up of series of habitats. There are around forty one thousand endangered species and around sixteen thousands of them are on the edge of extinction. One of those animals which is endangered and conserved, is polar bear. Polar bears are undergoing extinction rapidly day by day. A wide range of factors influence the extinction of polar bears such as climate change, habitat loss and pollution. They can get back to their casual life as long as those factors are restricted. Climate change is undoubtedly having a major impact on polar bears. Sea ice is their primary habitat. It's where they hunt for seals and other preys, interact with other members of their species, and take care of their young cubs. The problem is that sea ice melts each year as the planet gets warmer, making it increasingly difficult for these large mammals to survive in their own environment. If trends continue and temperatures keep rising, experts predict that two-thirds of polar bears could disappear by 2050, leaving only a fraction of this species alive on earth. This has also an enormous effect over the ecosystem. Habitat loss is one of the leading causes of extinction for polar bears. As habitats like the Arctic shrink due to climate change, polar bears lose their homes and struggle to find enough food to survive. This can lead to decreased birth rates, increased death, and a decrease in total population size. Polar bears are steadily losing their habitats at a rate of 14% per decade. When habitats are lost, polar bears are forced to search for a new home. That could mean polar bears are entering coastal villages, putting residents at risk for conflict. Pollution is another major factor in the extinction of polar bears. Pollutants like oil spills, chemical runoff, and plastic waste can seep into their habitats, making it harder for them to find food and breeding grounds. Offshore drilling poses a considerable risk because any spills and standard emissions will go directly into the ocean and destroy where polar bears live and eat. Toxic chemicals end up in the Arctic where they cause brain damage in polar bears even in humans, scientists warn. The polar bears in the Arctic have more than just climate change to worry about these days. All actions that will help reduce the factors which influence the extinction of polar bears, can be exacuted by humans. People can all contribute to reducing the climate change by using personal cars less, recycling and reducing the greenhouse gases. Conservation should be enough perfect including not to attack to their homes and not to contaminate their food and avoiding throwing waste products to the rivers. In conclusion, they are all willing of mankind either to prevent them or just leave it carelessly. Download 13.63 Kb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
