Abstract of the master's dissertation on " Socio-ecological problems of large cities (on the example of Tashkent)"

Relevance of the topic: It is known that the cities are the most concentrated and the largest producers of industrial products and waste. Therefore, all major cities have problems with the population and the environment. The main reason for this is the population. Today, many large cities are experiencing such problems, including Tashkent, the largest urban agglomeration and the capital of Uzbekistan. The population is growing rapidly at the expense of immigrants from other regions, which creates many problems in employment and services. According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan PF-5863 dated 30.10.2019, to provide employment to the population living in the city h and provide them with food and various industrial products. It is necessary to ensure the implementation of this Presidential Decree and develop new measures for its implementation. In this master's dissertation we will develop recommendations in the framework of the Presidential Decree.
The conditions here have a great impact on the density of the population in urban areas. Naturally, all areas in the city, especially the service sector, are very well developed. In addition, the city has access to science, medicine, utilities and infrastructure. In this work, we will develop recommendations to improve the social situation in the city and stabilize the environmental situation. This will help to solve the problems, at least in part.
Object and subject of research of the master's dissertation: The purpose of the master's dissertation is to improve the social and environmental situation in Tashkent, to study world experience in this area, to analyze the literature, to study the views of scientists and on this basis to develop recommendations for Tashkent.
Tasks of the master's dissertation within the limits of this purpose the following tasks are defined:
- Study of the social situation in Tashkent;
- Collection of literature on the population (including statistics);
- Analysis of collected data;
- Collection of literature on the ecological situation in Tashkent and the study of factors influencing it;
- Study of foreign literature and the experience of cities on the improvement of urban ecology;
- On the basis of the analysis and research to develop recommendations for improving the socio-ecological situation in Tashkent.
Object and subject of research of the master's dissertation: The object of study of the master's dissertation is the city of Tashkent, the study of socio-environmental problems of the city.
Research methodology and techniques: The dissertation uses statistical, historical, geographical comparison, cartographic, extrapolation and other methods.
Scientific novelty of the master's dissertation: Today, population growth in all the world's most famous cities is associated with large-scale industrial production, municipal and solid waste, and more than 80% of the city's emissions. Recommendations for preventing such cases developed:
1. Increasing the population of the city, including a small town adjacent to the city.
2. Further improvement of public services (public services, medicine, science, logistics)
3. Measures to reduce the amount of industrial waste and industrial waste in the city due to their recycling.
4. We have shown that the location of the city has a greater impact on the environmental situation.
5. This research work has been done before us, but the difference between our work and them is that the previous work has been analyzed and created on the basis of foreign experience and new data.
