Underneath the techniques for learning to use a 
new gadget, write the following:
 
Learning to cook a new recipe

Write the instructions in a notebook.

Ask the students to copy this into their notebooks 
too. Check they understand recipe (instructions 
for how to cook a dish). Encourage them to work 
individually to number the techniques for learning 
the two procedures in the order they would 
choose to do them (1 = most likely; 
4 = least likely).

Ask the students if they chose the same learning 
style for both procedures. If they chose different 
learning styles, explain that for the next activity 
they should use the one that corresponds to the 
one they chose in the Student’s Book lesson, 
i.e. their main preferred learning style.
