•
Erase the board and write the following:
How to treat a burn
1
Put water on it for ten minutes.
2
Call an ambulance.
3
Ask the person to lie down.
4
Take off jewellery.
5
Put a plastic bag on it.
•
Check that the students understand
burn,
ambulance, plastic bag, lie down and
jewellery
by either drawing
the things on the board or
miming the action.
•
Ask the students to look back at their notebooks
at the techniques they wrote earlier. Tell them
they are going to
use the learning style they
put in second place to learn the procedure on
the board.
•
As before,
group the interpersonal learners in
pairs. Give the students ten minutes to learn
this procedure using
their second preferred
learning style.
•
After ten minutes,
put the students into pairs
and ask them to test each other, again with their
backs to the board or covering the instructions.
•
Hold a brief class feedback
session to find out
how many steps the students remembered.
