Write the following information on the right-
hand side of the board:

Techniques for learning a new procedure at work:

Discuss it with people you work with.

Copy it into your notebook.

Create a graphic, e.g. a chart, diagram 
or poster.

Practise doing it.

Check the students understand procedure by 
eliciting examples of what this might be at work 
(e.g.
 book a meeting room, organise a meeting, 
file new documents
). Ask the students to copy 
down the techniques in their notebook and to 
number them in order from the one they are 
most likely to do (1) to the one they are least 
likely to do (4).
•
Then tell the students that the techniques relate 
to four of the five learning styles on the board. 
Elicit the learning style for each technique and 
write it next to the technique on the board.
