Alexander FlemingAlexander Fleming is a british bacteriologist Alexander Fleming was born in Ayrshire, Scotland on August 6, 1881. Alexander was 7th of 8 children. This is a picture of Ayrshire, Scotland Alexander went to school at Darvel school. He finished his basic education at Regent Street Polytechnic, which is now the University of Westminster. Alexander was a member of the territorial army, and served from 1900 to 1914. He started studying in the medical field at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School at the University of London. Fleming was interested in bacterial action and antibacterial drugs He grow on a plate a colony of dangerous bacteria One day he see on the plate a mold By means of numerous experiments on animals Fleming called this substance penicillin In 1942 he used penicillin in treatment Fleming received the Nobel Prize for his great discovery He said : «Everywhere I go people thank me for saving their lives.
