For example, in the following rule, we can observe that the word gender is represented by the words gender and sex at the same time.(Boys and girls tend to play with children of their own gender, and their sex separate groups have different organizational structures and interactive norms) (Deborah Tannen: Washington Post, June 24,1990).
According to “Longman Lexicon of Contemporary English” dictionary Gender -
1) the grouping of nouns and pronouns according to sex (masculine, feminine, neuter) or according to form and syntax.
2) one of these classes: What gender is the word for “stone” in Spanish24.
According to “The Barnhart Concise Dictionary of Etymology” Gender -
1) probably about 1350 referring to nouns and pronouns; later referring to verbs (about 1450) the sense of kind, sort, class of individuals or things, is first recorded in 1378; all borrowed from old French genre, gendre learned borrowing from one stem of Latin genus (genitive, generis) kind, sort, gender25
According to “Macmillan Essential dictionary” Gender - 1) the fact of being either male or female = sex. 2) All male people, all female people = sex: the entire male gender 3) Linguistics: the gender of a word whether masculine, feminine or neuter.
Dictionaries use traditional gender, "gender" and "category". The language of the meaning of gender “social gender” to explain the late entry into the field of bopshcha sciences possible.

Hence, gender is studied from a linguistic point of view as a social phenomenon and a social category.
