Notes

  1. 1 am chief engineer in a factory. Я главный инженер завода.

Артикль не употребляется перед именной частью составного сказуе­мого, выраженной существительным, обозначающим должность, кото­рую может занимать только одно лицо.

  1. Если перед словом университет стоит название города, где он находится, то артикль не ставится.

  1. 1 have a lot of things to do. У меня очень много работы.

  2. from the university library из университетской библиотеки. В англий­ском языке существительные часто употребляются в функции определе­ния к другому существительному.
