WEEK I-II LESSON OBSERVATION FORM Student Name: Abdullayeva Shaxzoda Date of observation: 04.04.2023 Teacher: Class (or level): Toshpòlatova Sevara Grade 1 b Hours Observed:3 (45 minutes) ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS: 1. What were, in your opinion, the main aims of this lesson? Were they achieved? How do you know? The today is topic “Help your friends”. Everyone was active in class today. The main purpose of this lesson is to provide students with quality education and gain sufficient knowledge. 2. Briefly describe the general atmosphere of the class. In what ways did the teacher's personality and behavior contribute to that atmosphere? The lesson in the class started in earnest, the student and the teacher actively participated. The lesson was interesting 3. Briefly describe the learners' general behavior/attitude and their involvement in activities and tasks. What, in your opinion, most contributed to their behavior/attitude and their involvement? The learners behavior during the lesson was sotisfactority good and they mastered the lesson well and every learners tried activity participated in the lesson. 4. List all materials and equipment used in this lesson (course book, blackboard, audio-visual aids, etc.) In the course of the lesson, there must be educational materials for students. The teacher conducted a lesson using the lesson plan, in which various exercises and games were performed. the teacher used the textbook, audio listening. 5. Estimate, using a percentage, the amount of time the teacher talked compared to the amount of time students talked Teacher: Student: In my opinion, the teacher spoke for 30 min, and the student for 15 minutes . The reason why students speak less in class is because they have less knowledge and less engagement. 6. Estimate, in percentage, the amount of time the teacher used English compared to the students’ mother tongue (if applicable)? English: Other Languages: The teacher conducted the lesson by mixing 80% of the languages. English: 50% Uzbek: 50% 7. Pay attention to the sequence of tasks included in the lessons. Try to find answers to the following questions: a) How is/was the lesson started? Today the lesson very good start. Because everyone be active. b) What does/did the teacher do? The teacher gave homework them. Students had a musical break during the lesson in which students participated with their playful actions. c) Write down the tasks and time devoted to them during the lesson New words-5 min, New topic-10 min, Speaking and writing-10 min, check the homework-10 min d) Do/Did students have enough time to solve the tasks? Yes, of course. It was time to check their homework and assignments. e) Are/Were students involved in the tasks? 100% of the students attended the class, but 70% of the students completed all the assignments in the class on time. g) Is/Was there a clear ending in the lesson. Today's lesson was understandable for everyone. Our lesson went according to plan. All tasks have been completed. All students left with new information at the end of the lesson. 8. Observe the way the teacher corrects students during different lessons. a) Are mistakes corrected immediately? The teacher did not make any mistakes in this lesson. The teacher tried to correct the student's mistakes in time. b) How are they corrected? The teacher worked individually with the students who made mistakes and explained to them where they made mistakes. Explained with examples c) Are students corrected in the same way no matter what they are doing: grammar tasks, listening, reading, speaking or writing tasks? She used more speaking and reading in class. The reason is to improve students’ speaking ability. d) Does the teacher encourage self-correction? No, I have not seen such a situation. The teacher is well prepared for the lesson. e) Does s/he praise students? Of course, the students were encouraged by the teacher because they were active in class and completed all assignments on time. 9. In each of the spaces below, note down one specific thing (teacher's personal quality or teaching skill, activities and tasks, classroom atmosphere, etc.) that you noticed in the course of the lesson and would like to make your comment on, discuss or learn more about. a) One thing I particularly liked in this lesson was: I learned a lot from the teacher. For example, in his methodology, I studied the ability to work with students and the methods of attracting students, and I really liked such methods. b) One thing I found rather ineffective in this lesson was: I think the current lesson was useful for everyone. The teacher gave enough information. And she tried not to bore the students. c) One thing I would like to be discussed in more detail in this course is: I would discuss with the teacher about the mistakes that the students made and what method should be used for them.
