Assignment Brief and Guidance
Using an organisation you are familiar with, write a report about how to improve individual 
and team performance. 
You should include the following in your report: 
•
the techniques used by the business to improve individual and team performance. 
•
why it is important to an individual of that business to improve his or her 
performance. 
•
the importance of effective teams and individuals to the business. 
Having considered this key aspect of leadership and management, you are to use three 
different motivation theories to demonstrate how the business could improve the performance 
of its workforce as individuals and as teams. 
Delivery and Submission 
The submission should be in the form of a report written in Word format.
The recommended word limit is 1250 words excluding diagrams, references, and appendices 
Referencing 
 
You are expected to use relevant academic and reliable sources, and clearly reference these 
in your work.
References should be added to the text and placed at the end in a references list, using 
Harvard Referencing style.

This tasks focuses on you and your ability to be an effective leader and/or manager. 
Prepare a personal reflective log in which you determine your own capacity to be an effective 
leader and manager. 
Your reflective log should include:

an analysis of own personal strengths, qualities, weaknesses and areas of 
development which focus on relevant leadership and management skills. 
•
an assessment of own ability to improve knowledge and skills to be an effective leader 
and/or manager.
