OPTIONAL LEAD-IN
Books closed. Put students into pairs. Ask them to list five
kinds of food that are healthy and five kinds of food that
are unhealthy. Ask the class for their suggestions and list
them on the board. See if students agree on what is healthy
and unhealthy, and why. Ask students if any of these kinds
of food can be considered both healthy and unhealthy and
why. (e.g. milk and milk products – healthy because good for
bones and teeth, unhealthy because can contain a lot of fat.)
Agree on a separate list with students.
