Assignment feedback – general or individual. Teaching materials, such as performances, case study materials, etc. Lecture recordings. Recording (telephone or in-person) interviews with experts.
If you are an auditory learner, you learn by hearing and listening. You understand and remember things you have heard. You store information by the way it sounds, and you have an easier time understanding spoken instructions than written ones.
Audio-lingualism is a method of foreign language teaching where the emphasis is on learning grammatical and phonological structure, especially for speaking and listening. It is based on behaviourism and so relies on formation as a basis for learning, through a great deal of mechanical repetition.
An example of Audio-Visual Teaching Learning Aid is

  • Radio.

  • Tape-Recorder.

  • Bulletin Board.

  • Television.

Audio-lingual approach suggests that students be taught phonology, morphology, and syntax of the language; all these patterns can be learned through contrastive analysis of the differences between the native tongue and the target language, which helps students to acquire new language easier.
As the name suggests, oral communication uses audio mode to convey messages whether it is through sounds or spoken audio. The speaker's voice and pronunciation need to be clear and precise with no background noise. Example: Radio, audio messages, music, recordings, songs, audiobook.
Characteristics of Auditory Learners: They tend toward long and repetitive descriptions. They like hearing themselves and others talk. They tend to remember names but forget faces and are easily distracted by sounds.
by listening to audio recordings of your textbook or lecture notes, you can actually focus better and retain more information. Here's how it works: When you listen to audio, your mind actively tries to process the information. It means you can't just zone out, as you can when reading silently.
Audio-visual aids can be classified into 3 groups – (1) purely auditory; (2) Purely visual; (3) combined audio-visual.
Audio-visual sources are specific; they are different from other sources like audio-sources, photos or written sources. Audio-visual sources have their own “truth” or “falsehood”; the communication patterns differ. To give a simple example: facial expressions sometimes seem to give a different expression than words. The ability to communicate clearly with high-quality audio is essential to achieving educational experiences that enable students to learn and communicate effectively. For teachers, the use of audio technology can help enhance communication and support engaging learning experiences in physical and digital classrooms.
With many schools and universities continuing to navigate in-person, virtual, or blended learning environments, the importance of technology adoption in higher education has never been clearer. The rapid transformation of the traditional classroom setting has heightened the need for technology that keeps faculty and students connected as they adjust to new ways of teaching and learning. While today’s classroom setups and teaching methods are evolving, classroom audio systems offer many benefits for educators and students.
When it comes to the classroom, audio is a critical element. The ability to communicate clearly with high-quality audio is essential to achieving educational experiences that enable students to learn and communicate effectively. For teachers, the use of audio technology can help enhance communication and support engaging learning experiences in physical and digital classrooms. Reliable and clear audio is not only crucial for comprehension in lectures, it also allows universities to embrace more advanced, innovative learning experiences.
Whether you’re learning from home or the classroom, investing in the right audio technology solutions is paramount for success. Here are a few factors to consider when selecting audio equipment for educational environments.
Audiovisual aids play an important role in health education. They can be classified into three groups – purely auditory aids, purely visual and a combination of both auditory and visual aids
Media or materials in health education can be used for different purposes and for different groups of people. Learning and understanding seems to result when more senses, such as touch, sight and hearing are reached by the media.
If used properly they create interest and motivate people to learn. Learning is made more permanent because these aids supply a concrete basis for learning rather than abstract thinking. The use of audiovisual aids makes the students to remember the concept for longer period of time. They convey the same meaning as words but it gives clear concepts thus help to bring effectiveness in learning. Integrating technology into the classroom help students to experience things virtually or vicariously.
Audio visual equipment allows the presenter to engage the audience, provide additional information, reinforce key points, emphasise whatever is being said, clarify points, and create excitement.
Disadvantages of Audio Visual Aids

  • Learners may sometime form mistaken or distorted impressions unless audio visual are supplemented with required explanations.

  • Temptation for the extension worker to narrow down his teaching to only few ideas without giving the complete picture of a subject.

Audiovisual presentations can take a considerable amount of time to prepare. It takes time to produce your own video or slides. Films may be difficult to obtain, or it can take time to get permission to use them. Posters and transparencies may require extensive preparation.
