[F-Cn] You’re not wearing that old shirt tonight, are you Steve? The 
collar’s all worn and there’s a button missing in the middle. I 
thought we were going to a formal dinner.
[M-Am] Yes, we are. It’s the company’s annual award ceremony. But I 
spilled some sauce on my best shirt last night at the welcome 
reception, and I don’t have another white one. This is it, I’m 
afraid.
[F-Cn] Well, you can’t go dressed like that. Look, it’s only six o’clock. 
Why don’t you drive down to the mall and buy a new one. It’ll 
only take twenty minutes so you should still have time to get 
dressed before the taxi arrives.
[M-Am] I guess you’re right. You stay here and wait for the babysitter. 
I’ll be as quick as I can.
Questions 62 through 64 refer to the following conversation and 
flight schedule.
[M-Br] All this sitting around is terrible, isn’t it? Is your flight delayed 
too?
[F-Au] Not as far as I know. I’m still waiting for the gate to be 
announced. I see lots of flights are delayed though. Are you 
going to Moscow?
[M-Br] No, Istanbul. And you?
[F-Au] I’m going to Warsaw. On time, hopefully. It’s not been too bad 
so far. I checked in early because I thought going through 
security would take a long time – but it didn’t. 
[M-Br] Well, I’m going to get a paper. It looks as if I’ll be here for a 
while yet. Nice talking to you. Have a good trip.

appointment list.
[M-Cn] Hello. I have an appointment with Dr. Shinn at a quarter after 
two. 
[F-Am] Goodness! You’re half an hour early.
[M-Cn] Yes. I managed to find a parking space right outside.
[F-Am] Wow. Lucky you. OK, so please take a seat and I’ll call through 
to Dr. Shinn’s assistant to let her know you’re here.
