554 Monoqrafiyanın arxa üz qabağında yazmalı Qafarov Şamil Saleh oğlu 1950-ci ildə Ağdam rayonun- da mü əllim ailəsində anadan olmuşdur. 1971-ci ild ə Azərbaycan Dövlət Xalq Təsərrüfatı İnstitu- tunu bitirib. 1975-1978-ci ill ərdə Azərbaycan Dövlət Universi- tetinin Siyasi- iqtisad kafedrasının aspirantı olub. 1978-ci ildə ADU-da mü əllimlik fəaliyyətinə başlayıb, 1980-ci ildən iqtisad elml əri namizədi, 2001-ci ildən isə iqtisad elmləri doktorudur. 1998-2005-ci ill ərdə BDU-da İqtisadiyyat kafedrasının müdiri olub. Hal- hazırda Azərbaycan Dövlət İqtisad Universitetinin professorudur. 1999-cu ild ə “Beynəlxalq əmək bölgüsü: formalaşması, di- na mikası və strukturu” kitabı, elə həmin ildə “İctimai əmək böl- güsü v ə onun sosial-iqtisadi problemləri” 24,25 ç.v., 2005-ci ildə “Müasir iqtisadi sistem v ə qloballaşma” adlı 40 çap vərəqi həc- mind ə monoqrafiyası çap olunmuşdur. Bütövlükd ə bu günə qədər 6 kitabın, 136-dan çox məqa- l ənin müəllifidir. Professor Ş.S.Qafarov Azərbaycanda ilk iqtisadçıdır ki, 3 d əfə DAAD (Alman Akademik Mübadilə Xidməti) müsabiqəsi- nin qalibi olub. 1998-ci ild ə (2 ay) 2-ci dəfə 2004-cü ildə (3 ay), 3-cü d əfə 2010-cu ildə (3ay) Almaniyanın Ştuttqart Uni- versitetind ə elmi – tədqiqatla məşğul olub. Dünya şöhrətli alman professoru Ulli Arnoldla birlikdə “Az
