3.4 Data collection
Interviews are a type of data collecting procedure in which two or more persons exchange information through a sequence of questions and replies. A researcher creates the questions in order to extract information from interview participants on a given topic or collection of topics. These topics are informed by the author's research questions (Matthew DeCarlo).
Individual, face-to-face, semi-structured interviews will be used as the main method of data collection in this study, with 8 open-ended questions prepared ahead of time. Questions that are open-ended do not provide participants with an option; rather, they help them in formulating a response in their own terms. The interview approach will be useful in researching more deeply into passengers' perceptions on the quality of services in Samarkand. This study's sample participants are international tourists visiting Uzbekistan, and the meeting takes place in Samarkand. The interview with each of them was performed personally, allowing visitors to look additionally into the issue of interest. Questions will be prepared in advance, and if the questions are not understood by the tourists, they will be rephrased.
3.5 Data analysis
The data analysis process begins with data collecting by collecting detailed data using interviews, complementing with observations, and transcribing the collected material (Rabiee, 2004). The most important aspect of the research is data analysis, which summarizes the collected data. All interviews will be recorded on the researcher's mobile phone, and all recordings will be listened to, transcribed into English, and the audio transformed into text and stored to computer files. Written transcripts will be checked, and common or comparable subjects expressed by respondents will be emphasized after reviewing the gathered data. The process of evaluating data obtained using analytical and logical reasoning to uncover patterns, correlations, and trends is known as data analysis. The analysis's both main and secondary themes will be identified.
