him if he can perform it by changing the position of the hands. When he did this movement, 
and asked him how it is more convenient for him to perform the movement. In those cases 
when the child said that he did not care how to perform this movement, I could assume the 
symmetry of its execution. This was quite rare, more often the leading hand was revealed. 
According to the results of this test, the children were divided into approximately two 
equal groups (regardless of age): some performed it in the left way, others in the right way, 
about one child out of 20 claimed that he did not care how to perform this movement.
"Clasp of fingers". I showed a movement to a sitting or standing child: intertwined the 
fingers of both hands, holding them obliquely in front of me, and immediately spread them. 
Then I asked the child to show how he does this movement. The leading hand is the hand 
whose finger is on top. After the child did the test, I asked him to perform it, clasping his 
hands in some other way. When the child tried to make a movement differently, I watched 
how he did it and how deftly the fingers connected. In addition, I asked how it is more 
convenient to perform the movement. Approximately 45% of the children completed it in a 
"left" way.
I examined attention span, memory capacity, speed sensor-motor reaction, 
development of motor skills of the hand of the leading hand and the level of adaptation in 
children of the senior group of kindergarten before graduation to school and a year later, at 
the end first academic year. It turned out that children with the right type of profile had the 
best indicators of cognitive abilities compared with children with mixed indicators (in the 
sample there were no children with left and simmetric profile types). But children with a 
mixed type of profile were more adapted to the school. 
Therefore, these data support studies conducted in adults, according to which high 
intelligence is associated with pronounced asymmetry, and adaptation improves with 
accumulation of left signs. 
However, it should be remembered here that people with predominantly leftist traits 
adapt more effectively to natural environmental factors rather than to social ones conditions 
where they are more likely to relapse when stressed compared to others profile options.
