2017 GARBAGE/RECYCLING CALENDAR

 

 

OCTOBER 

–

 DECEMBER 2017 

Recycling Center is located at the Public Works Building on Lake Ave.  (Corner of Lake and Laurel Ave.’s)

 

Hours of Operation (except for holidays) are:  Monday 

–

 Friday:  8am to 3:55pm

 

ANY RECYCLABLE MATERIALS MAY BE BROUGHT TO PUBLIC WORKS RECYCLING CENTER

 

Trash cans or plastic bags must not exceed 40 pounds! 

You are allowed two bulk items each garbage pick up! 

KEY:  G = Garbage S = Single Stream  L = Leaves X = Holiday

ALL ITEMS ARE TO BE PLACED AT CURBSIDE, ONLY ON SCHEDULED TIME AND DAY, 

 NOT BEFORE 4 P.M. PRIOR DAY

SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING 

ACCEPTABLE  



 

Plastic bottles – neck smaller than the base of the container like beverage, shampoo/conditioner, laundry/dish 

detergent, milk jugs, condiments, and salad dressings. 



 

Cans – Aluminum, steel, tin and empty aerosol cans. 



 

Glass Bottles, Jars and Containers – (All shapes, sizes and colors).  Empty and rinse all bottles and 

containers.  Remove all caps, lids and pumps and throw in trash. 



 

Corrugated Cardboard boxes. 



 

Clean Cardboard pizza boxes. 



 

Mixed Paper – Magazines, catalogs, paperback books, hardcover books (cover removed), junk mail 

(including envelopes), office paper, computer paper, newspaper plus inserts, brown paper bags, construction 

paper, wrapping paper, greeting cards.  DO NOT TIE OR BUNDLE PAPER, DO NOT BAG 

MATERIAL. 

NOT ACCEPTABLE 



 

Dairy tubs such as margarine, yogurt, sour cream. 



 

Gray/Chip board such as tissue, cereal, pasta, beverage carriers, gift boxes, paper to go containers, and paper 

towel/toilet tissue rolls. 



 

Plastic flower/shrubbery pots, garbage cans or buckets, toys or totes. 



 

Plastic food storage containers or lids, cafeteria or microwave trays. 



 

Styrofoam of any type. 



 

Motor oil bottles. 



 

Bottle caps and jar lids (plastic or metal), plastic cups, plates or bags. 



 

Waxed paper or waxed cardboard containers (milk or juice). 



 

File folders, stickers or address label sheet waste. 



 

Aluminum foil, pie pans, or metal deli trays. 



 

Plastic wrap, plastic deli trays and covers. 



 

Dinnerware, glassware, window glass, mirrors or Pyrex dish/cookware
