Also, special attention should be paid to the teaching of language teaching strategies and techniques in the conditions of the non-philological higher education system. Their use will help the student to compensate for the lack of knowledge and skills not only in a foreign language, but also in his future professional activities and professional development. The proposed curriculum helps students to quickly acquire new skills, especially to increase their knowledge by using a wide range of authentic (life) materials on the module, not limited to only one educational literature. 54 2.2-§. Use of active and interactive methods in the development of lexical competence in practical English classes In modern foreign language teaching methodology, the concept of educational methods (Greek méthodos) is used in the sense of the conceptual rules of the teacher's activity in organizing and managing students' educational activities on a specific topic, aimed at optimal knowledge acquisition. The educational method refers to the general ways of organizing and managing the cooperative educational activities of teachers and learners that ensure the achievement of the specified educational goal. The choice of a specific method is based on the following criteria, according to the planned goal and results: - suitability of the set goal for solving tasks; - simplicity and ease of using the method; -providing the best results and being able to guarantee them. There are many ways to teach languages. Some are passively treated, while others are widely used; and some have little meaning but offer useful insights. Although sometimes confusing, the terms "approach," "method," and "technique" are hierarchical concepts. Approach – it is a set of assumptions about the nature of language and language learning, but does not include a procedure or provide information on how such assumptions should be implemented in an audience setting. This can be related to the theory of second language learning. There are three main approaches: 1. The structural view considers language as a system of elements (for example, a program) whose meaning depends on it. 2. The functional view sees language as a tool for expressing or performing a specific function, such as asking for something. 3. The interactionist view sees language as a means of creating and maintaining social relations, focusing on the actions, negotiations and signs of interdependence that exist in conversational relationships. This approach has been dominant since the 1980s 54 . In general, the skill of teachers in any educational practice is determined by their ability to deliver the planned topics to students in the course of the lesson by whatever methods and means, and skillfully instill the main content of the lesson into their minds. The ability of teachers to use appropriate methods in English language classes will undoubtedly guarantee the success of the educational process. In this context, it is important to emphasize the importance of active and interactive methods in language teaching practice. Download 1.98 Mb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
