Text: Rheumatic Endocarditis

The patient complained of a general malaise, early fatigue on exertion,
cardiac discomfort and palpitation.
The physician found him to have been having an increase o f body
temperature to a subfebrile level for a prolonged period of time. The patient
stated that the onset o f the disease had been preceded by tonsillitis. The
patient’s pulse rate had become irregular and accelerated on physical exertion
The blood analysis revealed moderate leucocytosis and an elevated ESR.
The physician considered the patient to be ill with rheumatic endocarditis
and insisted on his following a strict bed regimen at the in-patient department.

Больной обратился с жалобами на общее недомогание, раннюю утомляемость при нагрузке,

сердечный дискомфорт и сердцебиение.

Врач обнаружил, что у него увеличилось тело

температура до субфебрильного уровня в течение длительного периода времени. Пациент

заявил, что заболеванию предшествовал тонзиллит. В

частота пульса пациента стала нерегулярной и учащалась при физических нагрузках

анализ крови выявил умеренный лейкоцитоз и повышенную СОЭ.

Врач посчитал, что пациент болен ревматическим эндокардитом.

и настаивал на строгом постельном режиме в стационаре
