Caspian public university academic policy

Independent work of a student (IWS) is work on a certain list of topics allocated for independent study, provided with educational and methodological literature and recommendations. Depending on the category of students, it is divided into independent work of a student (hereinafter - IWS), independent work of a Master's program student (hereinafter - IWM) and independent work of a PhD program student (hereinafter - IWD). The entire scope of IWS is confirmed by tasks that require daily independent work from the student.

74.	Independent work of a student supervised by a lecturer (IWSsL) is the work of the student under the guidance of the teacher, carried out according to a separate schedule, which is determined by the university or the teacher herself/himself. Depending on the category of students, it is divided into: independent work of a student under the guidance of a teacher (hereinafter - IWSsL), independent work of a Master's program student under the guidance of a teacher (hereinafter - IWMsL) and independent work of a PhD program student under the guidance of a teacher (hereinafter - IWDsL).
75.	Combined delivery mode means that lectures are conducted online, seminars, laboratory works and practical lessons are conducted offline in the auditorium.
76.	GPA - Grade Point Average is the weighted average estimate of the level of educational achievements of the student for a certain period according to the selected program (ratio of the sum of products of credits for the digital equivalent of points of the final assessment for all types of educational work to the total number of credits for these types of work for this period of training).
