1.1. INTRODUCTION TO HIGHER EDUCATION.
Higher education is a rich cultural and scientific asset which enables personal development and promotes economic, technological and social change. It promotes the exchange of knowledge, research and innovation and equips students with the skills needed to meet ever changing labour markets.
Higher education is increasingly becoming a priority for many families around the world. The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has stated that more than 1 billion people worldwide have completed some form of higher education. This number continues to grow every year. This project work will discuss the importance of higher education in Uzbekistan and India and explore some of the benefits of pursuing a college education in the country.
Higher education is a system of education that offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees. It is typically associated with institutions of higher learning such as universities, colleges, and seminaries.
The word university comes from the Latin Universitas, which means a company of students. The first universities were established in medieval Europe. Today, there are more than 1,500 universities worldwide, including many in North America, the UK, France, and India.

The importance of higher education in society is enormous. It is one of the most powerful forces shaping the world today. For example, the rise of the middle class, the increase in female education, and the expansion of higher education are just a few examples of how higher education has impacted society over the years.
