Third conditional is used to talk about unreal past:
IF+S+HAD DONE… S+WOULD/SHOULD/MIGHT/COULD+HAVE DONE
If I had seen you when you passed me in the street, I would have said hello. (but I didn’t see you)
We also use I wish I had done when we say that we regret something that happened or didn’t happen in the past:
I feel sick. I wish I hadn’t eaten so much. (I ate too much)
IF+S+HAD DONE… S+WOULD DO
IF+S+DID… S+WOULD HAVE DONE
If I hadn’t failed my exam yesterday my father would take me to Paris today.
If I were more intelligent I wouldn’t have failed my test.
If I were you, I would I would buy a new car.
I will go to Tashkent alone if you don’t come on time.
