Attendance and welcome activity about developing community

Observation Discussions– Small group “what I learned” debriefings about Peer/Self Observations

Show and Share– An activity from last week’s TETE Workshop (2-3 mentees) – What Worked/What Didn’t Work

1 hour

TETE\6Ps Training

1.5 hour

Daily Wrap-Up

10-15 minutes

Warm Up

  • Write down 3 questions to review what they have learned so far.
  • Interview as many people as you can in 5 minutes.

SPEED INTERVIEW
  • Person A has 90 seconds to talk about:

  • -- ““A success you had in your classroom…” or
    -- “A student success …..”
    Person B cannot talk (imagine a band-aid over your mouth) until the 90 seconds are finished.
  • Person B paraphrases (restates) the content and reflects on the feelings of Person A (60 seconds). Person A cannot talk.
  • Person A gives feedback about how it felt and says appreciation if they feel like they were being heard. (30 seconds)
  • Now switch roles

  • OK, everyone, let’s begin. Please open your books and then you need to look at page 63. You will do Exercise 3. Work with your elbow partner a partner. You and your partner are going to take turns reading the paragraph. You will then choose a title for the paragraph. OH, and you have to do this in 10 minutes. When you finish with reading and creating a title, use the information in the paragraph to answer these questions. Work alone to complete the questions.

  • Okay everyone. Let’s make two lines. We are doing a fluency line you remember, yes? Okay Please face each other. You are going to talk about your families for two minutes. You will then rotate each person takes a step left. So, you will have a new partner. You then will have 1 minute to talk. You then rotate again and talk for 30 seconds this time. Do you understand? Great lets start.
