The accumulation of oil in sandstones occurred in traps formed due to the wedging out of reservoirs on the monocline. The depth of occurrence of horizons at the Aden field is 1700-1730 m. The thickness is up to 20 m. The main direction of paleo-fluvial flows in the territory under consideration was due to the strike of large structural elements, primarily the Kulbai trough, to concentrate the main flows of river systems. Areas complicated by flexure-fracture zones are an object for prospecting and exploration work not only on screened, but also on domed deposits. Therefore, the search for oil and gas deposits in traps of these types, along with anticlinal traps in various terrestrial and underwater facies of the Jurassic, common in the most favorable paleorelief of the Kulbay trough and Alan depression, can be justified. Here it is possible to single out a promising zone in the junction zone of the Alan depression with the Central Ustyurt system of uplifts between the areas of Kokhbakhty, Dzhangyzashi, Zhalgyztoy, Akmankazgan, where the discovery of new non-anticlinal traps in the Jurassic deposits is most likely. The entire territory of the site has been poorly studied, for a number of years it has been considered unpromising, the reason for which was the negative results of exploratory drilling in the above areas and the depression structure of this area.
