The aim of the lesson:
Educational: - to learn about food pyramids.
Developing: - to provide an opportunity for pupils to work creatively and cooperatively; - to enable pupils to write and talk about food pyramids; - to develop speaking, writing and critical thinking skills.
Socio-cultural: - to raise awareness of food pyramids.
Competence: SC3, SC5, LC, FLCC
Learning outcomes: At the end of the lesson pupils will be able to: - write and talk about food pyramids; - give advice.

The Procedure of the lesson:
Organizing moment: - Greeting.
Pre-Activity
Activity 1 Listen and sing. 10 min
Objectives: to warm up by singing the song; to check homework
STEP 1: Play the DVD. Ask the pupils to listen to the song and sing it. Look at Unit 7 Lesson 1 Activity 1 for the DVD script. STEP 2: Checking homework. The pupils can check in pairs or go round the class and work with as many pupils as they can.
Main part
Activity 2 Work in pairs. Look at the food pyramid. Ask and answer. 8 min
Objectives: to raise awareness of food pyramid; to develop speaking skills
STEP 1: Ask the pupils to look at the picture. Ask what they see. Elicit that they see a three-section pyramid with different foods on. Ask what else they see. Elicit that there is an instruction next to each section. Ask what the instructions say. Elicit that they say how much we should eat these foods.
STEP 2: Ask the pupils to work in pairs. Explain that they should ask and answer as shown in the example.
