We learn language to reach our full potential in it. Hit the books-to study very hard I am hitting to books to be well-prepared for the exam and pass it with flying colors. Mature student- a student older than others in a group Navruz aka was a mature student among us. Schoolboy error- very basic and foolish error Person sometimes makes schoolboy errors. Attend classes-to go to classes I am highly unlikely to attend all classes coz some lessons are monotonous. To learn something by heart-to memorise something I am trying to learn vocabulary by heart. Meet the deadline-to finish something before it is due I met the deadline to finish my midterm. Assignment-work that you do as a part of your study Recently, I uploaded all the assignments to moodle. Theoretical-based on theories I prefer practical courses to theoretical ones. To be poor at something-to do something badly I used to be poor at maths. Degree- the level you get after completing the course Master’s degree is an influential level in learning atmosphere. Skip classes-to be absent in classes for some reason When I was a freshman, skipping classes became a usual thing. Speciality- a special field My speciality is an English philology. Schedule-an amount of work you should do in certain times Rewarding-providing someone with satisfaction Teaching young children is a challanging and rewarding job. Unwind-to relax after hard work Listening to the songs is the best way for me to unwind. Strict-having definite rules and wanting others to obey I do like strict teachers. Supportive-giving support and encouragement My English teacher was really supportive. Strive-to try hard to achieve something I am striving to prepare for the cefr exam. A heavy workload-having a lot of things to do I left my previous work due to the heavy workload Bullying-to use strength repeatedly to hurt or frighten others I suffered from bullying when I was young. Competent-to be capable of doing something I need some training to be a competent teacher. Excel-to be extremely good at something I excel in IT and learning languages. To fall behind with your studies-to progress more slowly than others When I joined new advanced English group, I was falling behind with my studies. Impose discipline-to make students obey the rules Jurabek teacher was a strict and imposed his discipline to every student. Attendance record-the record of how often someone has been present in lessons I had the worst attendance record in group. Tertiary education-higher education I am studying tertiary education in UzSWLU. Accumulate- to gather something gradually as time passes His work experience was accumulated for many years. Bedtime reading-a book read at bedtime Bedtime reading became usual activity in my applicant time. A native speaker-someone spoken language since he was child Learning English with native speakers is really easy.
