ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION

HAYITBOYEVA NAFOSAT

Introduction

Environmental pollution - the introduction of harmful pollutants into the air, water or soil, which, as a result, has a negative effect on our planet and its inhabitants.

The purpose of this presentation is to raise awareness about the various forms of environmental pollution and their consequences.

Consequences of Environmental Pollution

  • Climate change and global warming.
  • Contamination of water resources and water crisis.
  • Destruction of natural habitats and loss of biodiversity.
  • Economic losses and depletion of natural resources.

1.

Air pollution

Harmful gases, particulate matter and chemicals

Contamination of freshwater bodies, such as rivers

Water pollution

Contimination of toxic substance like heavy metals, chemicals

Soil pollution

Negatively impacts on soil quality

Land pollution

Air pollution

a. Health effects: respiratory diseases, lung cancer and cardiovascular problems.

b. Climate Change: Air pollutants such as greenhouse gases contribute to global warming.

c. Environmental impact: damage to ecosystems, loss of biodiversity and ozone layer degradation.

Consequences:

The main sources of atmospheric pollution

a. Industrial emissions: Factories, power plants and heavy machinery emit pollutants into the air.

b. Transport emissions: vehicle emissions and emissions from aircraft and ships.

c. Burning fossil fuels: Burning coal, oil, and natural gas contributes to air pollution.

Water pollution

Sources of water pollution

Consequences
  • Health Hazards
  • Disruption of aquatic ecosystems
  • Impact on people

Soil pollution

Consequences

  • Industrial activities:
  • Agricultural Practices:
  • Mismanagement of waste

Sources of soil pollution

Solutions

  • stricter environmental regulations

- Implementation of strict environmental protection rules ensures minimization of industrial pollution.
- Monitor and control compliance to reduce hazardous waste and emissions.
- Governments can encourage sustainable practices through policies and penalties.
- Promoting clean industrial practices through the use of environmentally friendly technologies and production methods.
- encouraging industrial enterprises to invest in renewable energy sources and energy-saving processes.
- creating platforms for sharing best practices in pollution reduction and resource management.

2. clean industry

Solutions

- environmentally friendly agriculture

- promotion of organic farming and sustainable agricultural practices.

- chemical to reduce water flowreduce the use of fertilizers and pesticides.

- promoting crop rotation, natural pest control and water conservation

Awareness raising and individual actions

informing individuals about the impact of their actions on the environment.
encourage environmentally conscious choices such as reduce, reuse and recycle.
To spread awareness about the importance of preserving nature and its resources.
