ANNOTATION
Today, as a result of the development of industry on a global scale, the amount of hydrocarbon gases released into the atmosphere is increasing every year. This increases the "greenhouse effect" on our planet and causes climate changes. As a result, natural disasters of meteorological origin are increasing. For example, in some parts of the world, precipitation is much higher than normal, while in other regions, drought is on the rise. Researching this issue in order to assess the meteorological regime of Samarkand region is of urgent importance..
The purpose of the research is to study the issues of interannual changes of air temperature and atmospheric precipitation based on the assessment of the meteorological regime of Samarkand region.
In order to achieve this goal, the following tasks were determined in the master's dissertation work and were solved during the research: the natural geographical conditions, climate, geological structure of Samarkand region were studied. The meteorological regime of Samarkand region, the annual changes of air temperature and atmospheric precipitation were studied and graphs were drawn based on the results. The variability of monthly and annual atmospheric precipitation recorded in Samarkand region was considered and its impact on agriculture was evaluated. It is recommended to use the results of the research in the Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its regional departments, and to use the dissertation materials in the teaching of special subjects in the higher educational institutions of the Republic.
