The republic of Uzbekistan was founded in August 31, 1991. Uzbekistan is situated in Central Asia in the basin of the Amudarya and Syrdarya rivers which run into the Aral Sea. Its territory is 447,8 thousand square kilometres. Uzbekistan is divided into twelve regions. Uzbekistan is a democratic republic. The President is the head of the government. The population of Uzbekistan is 31 000 000. The native people are Uzbeks. The climate of Uzbekistan is continental. The relief is varied. There are mountains, plains, deserts in Uzbekistan.It is a republic with a highly developed industry. Samarkand, Bukhara, Andijan, Ferghana, Almalyk, Angren, Navoi, Chirchik are industrial towns of Uzbekistan. Powerful industrial enterprises operate actually in all sectors of industry, machine – building industry, aircraft industry, automobile – building industry and light industry. Uzbekistan is rich with mineral resources such as: oil, gas, gold, coal, copper and etc. It is a land of cotton, karakul sheep, silk, fruit and a land with highly mechanized agriculture. The constitution of the Uzbek Republic adopted on December 8, 1992 gives all the citizens the right to work, to rest and to education. There is a great number of educational establishments in Uzbekistan: secondary schools, colleges, Institutes and universities. 3.WRITING. Many roads are open for youth in our republic. Anybody can learn at school, but it is not an easy thing to choose a future profession. Some people follow the advice of their parents. Others cannot decide even after leaving school. My future profession is a teacher of Uzbek language and literature. The modern teacher has to solve many important problems. He must not only teach children his subject, but bring them up and prepare them for life and labor. A good teacher is not only a communicator of knowledge but a model of competence. He forms attitudes to his subject and attitudes to learning. A good teacher must always regard capacities and interests which his pupils have. „ Climate" of a classroom depends on the nature of personal relationships between a teacher and his pupils. In a word, the profession of a teacher is rather difficult but I have chosen it because I like children and I want to work at school. Therefore, Uzbekistan needs many specialists with knowledge of English. I want to be a useful specialist to further the development of our country. 3.WRITING. Read the text. How did I spend last summer? I think summer is the best season for rest because it is warm, the nature is beautiful and we have great opportunities for rest. Summer is a time of holidays. We can go for a walk all day long, watch the clouds, swim, sit down by a river or a lake on fresh, green grass, climb high hills, play different games, ride a bicycle and so on. I spend my summer holidays at my granny. There were many things there to enjoy. I swam in the sea, laid in the sun and did many other things. Sometimes I made a fire with my friends at the seaside and cooked potatoes there. It was wonderful. We told anecdotes to each other, and did everything we wanted. I also got used to walk alone in the forest. When the August was coming to the end, I went on a small voyage by ship. But the last summer wasn’t for me only sugar and honey. I have passed through the graduating exams in school and entering exams in the university and technical university. So the bigger part of my summer vocations I spent at the books. Of course, it was not interesting, but I’m glad that I did it because now I’m a student of the best university.

2.READING. (10 minutes) Read the text. My breakfast.
It is not a secret that our meals influence much on our health and our mood. That’s why I consider breakfast to be the most important meal in the day as it is the first our meal and it can put us in good spirits or it can’t. Now I shall tell you about my breakfast. In the morning I usually have porridge. I often start my breakfast with a cereal which is not cooked, it is something dry, ready to be eaten or muesli - some grain or porridge which is not cooked with dried fruit, nuts and so on. I also like eggs (cooked in different ways). I don’t practically eat butter, I prefer soft margarine - made of vegetable fat, which is not heavy and creamy. I don’t eat jam at breakfast, I eat marmalade which is not sweet, there is slight bitterness; it’s rather pleasant. I usually don’t have substantial breakfast on weekdays, I do it on weekends when I get up late. Very often I have just tea or coffee with sandwiches. Tea is usually taken by me with milk. I like very strong tea without sugar. Sometimes when I am in hurry I don’t have time to have proper breakfast and I go to the university being hungry. In such case I usually buy something like “Snickers” or “Mars” on my way.
