Brain . In teenagers who smoke, memory is weakened because there is a lack of oxygen in the brain.

  • View . As a result of smoking, vision is impaired, colors are blurred. Over time, this condition can lead to complete color blindness.

  • Reproductive system . Even if they give up this habit by the age of 20-25, this category of individuals is more prone to infertility. Pelvic inflammatory disease is more severe in women, and men are 1.5 times more likely to suffer from impotence .

    PASSIVE SMOKING
Passive smoking means inhaling smoke emitted by others along with the air. Its harm is no less than that of regular smoking. Passive smokers are also exposed to harmful tars, poisons and carcinogens, the only difference is that they did not choose this path voluntarily. People who smoke for them: parents, friends, colleagues, ordinary passengers at the bus stop have already made a decision.

How convenient is the use of public transport services in our republic, what is the condition of public transport stations, are there opportunities for disabled, elderly and women with young children, what needs to be done and what is being done to improve the quality of these services ?
Many things become clear when the world experience is studied comparatively. If we look at the experience of one of the developed countries of the world - the USA, we can see that public transport has several advantages in the field of service.
First of all, in the USA, more vehicles are released to routes during peak passenger times. For example, metro trains are very busy in the morning and in the evening when going to and from work.
We also need to regularly study the flow of passengers in different directions and the needs of the population, and therefore release vehicles to the designated routes, and if necessary, open additional routes and bring the transport service up to the level of modernity.
Today, more than 7,700 organizations provide public transportation services in the United States. According to 2015 figures, a total of 183,601 different buses and underground and surface metro trains are in operation.
Most importantly, stations and public transport are equipped with special technical adaptation tools for different groups of the population. For example, buses are equipped with special lifting ramps and bridges to make it easier for disabled people and young children to get in and out of strollers, while metro stations have escalators for young people, and elevators for the elderly, disabled, and women with strollers. built.
Today, in New York City alone, 11.2 percent of all public transit riders are disabled. More than 650,000 people with different levels of disabilities are registered in Uzbekistan. However, public transport and stations in our republic are not equipped with special facilities in accordance with world standards that allow people of different groups to use vehicles easily.
Another aspect is that many buses and stops in the USA are equipped with light signs and audio technical devices that automatically tell and show the name of each stop to passengers with limited vision and hearing.
Even the roads, footpaths and other crossings are made level without steps, adapted to the disabled and young children's strollers, and opportunities are created for them to use road vehicles easily.
Another convenient feature of public transportation services in the United States is that many subway and bus stations are equipped with free Wi-Fi internet services.
On January 10, 2017, the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to provide transport services to the population and further improve the system of passenger transportation by buses in cities and villages" was announced. Based on the decision, the program for the further development of motor transport services in cities and villages in 2017-2021 was also announced.
According to the program, in 2017-2021, it is planned to open 303 new passenger transportation routes, 240 of them (79.2 percent) on intercity routes passing through the suburbs and villages. Along with the opening of new routes, it was also noted that the routes, which were suspended mainly due to the lack of buses, will be restored.
In the next 5 years, it is planned to purchase 8,600 passenger cars, including 5,700 minibuses for general use. It is envisaged to regularly monitor the work of buses and minibuses online (GPS), as well as to introduce a cashless fare payment system. These measures are gratifying and will undoubtedly improve the quality of the transport infrastructure.
However, it would be appropriate if the aspects based on the above world experience were introduced in the system of providing motor transport services. For example, today, 3 metro construction projects are being implemented in our capital, that is, Sergeli, Yashnabad public metro lines and Yunusabad underground metro. We believe that these conveniences are also taken into account during the creative process.
The new bus, minibus, train and stations to be put into service as specified in the program will be equipped with modern technical facilities. This, in turn, eases the burden of the population, especially women with young children, the elderly and the disabled, making a significant contribution to an active and independent life and improving their social life in general.
