Tasks and fields of application of transformers.Alternating current voltage without changing its frequency increasing static electromagnetic apparatus, or increasing the amount of voltage or Electroinduction static device that reduces is called a transformer. Electric energy is transmitted from power plant generators to consumers; consumers are often located far from the station. In order to reduce energy waste and reduce the weight of wires the amount of voltage in the generators is several tens or hundreds of times larger it will be necessary to raise it to the current transmission voltage. Transformers are used for many purposes. Structure and principle of operation of transformers. The conduit to which the electric energy enters from the source is called the primary conduit, and the other conduit to which the energy consumer is connected is called the secondary conduit. A current I1 and a magnetic flux F closing through the steel core are generated from the variable voltage U1 supplied to the primary coil. According to the law of electromagnetic induction, under the influence of a changing magnetic current F, self-induction EYUK i E1 is created in the primary circuit, and mutual induction EYUK i E2 is created in the secondary circuit. If a load is connected to the secondary circuit, a load current I2 will be generated and the secondary voltage will decrease U2. The ratio of the value of EYUK in the high-voltage circuit to that in the low-voltage circuit is called the transformation coefficient of transformers and is denoted by K.Operating modes of transformers.
