2. Did you enjoy knights’ battles in your childhood?(for boys)
3. Did you admire queens or princesses in your childhood?(for girls)
4. Have you ever visited museums?
5. What ages would you like to appear in?

Activity 3.
Time:15 min
Divide students into three groups. Ask them come to the blackboard one by one, choose a word and find proper definition and stick them on the board. (Handout 3)
Medieval –relating to the Middle Ages

To joust –engage in a sporting contest in which two opponents on horseback fight with lances

Armor –the metal coverings formerly worn by soldiers or warriors to protect the body in battle
To roast – cook (food, especially meat) by prolonged exposure to heat in an oven or over a fire
Noble – belonging by rank, title, or birth to the aristocracy
Castle –a large building, typically of the medieval period, fortified against attack with thick walls, battlements, towers, and often a moat
To hunt –pursue and kill (a wild animal) for food
Boar –an uncastrated domestic male pig
Towel –a piece of thick absorbent cloth or paper used for drying oneself or wiping things dry
Painting –the action or skill of using paint, either in a picture or as decoration
Monk –a member of a religious community of men typically living under vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience
Blacksmith –a person who makes and repairs things in iron by hand
Helmet –a hard or padded protective hat, various types of which are worn by soldiers, police officers, motorcyclists, sports players, and others
Peasant –a poor smallholder or agricultural labourer of low social status
Queen –a king's wife
