Final reflective journal guidelines UPDATED(1)

Final reflective journal

What do I have to do? Read the questions below and on the screen (after you click “view evidence”). Take time to think. Then write your own answer to the questions in the View Evidence section. Be reflective, and be honest 😊

  • Think about the activities and ideas that you wrote about in your five reflective journals. Which worked well? Why? What did not work so well?

  • What did you change as a result of this OTC programme?

  • What are some of your main observations about your own learning and development in this programme? Where do you think you need to further develop?

You should write a minimum of 350 words and a maximum of 500 words.

Please read these questions and answers before you begin.

When do I complete this? You should complete this final journal at the end of your full Online Teacher Community programme and after you have completed your five reflective bi-weekly journals. This journal should reflect your overall experience in the Online Teacher Community professional development programme - the main objective for this final requirement is for teachers to take the time to reflect on their participation and, most importantly, how they will utilise and apply new ideas, knowledge, skills and shared challenges in the classroom.

Is this journal an obligatory part of the course? Yes, it is. You will not be able to successfully complete the programme unless you submit the final reflective journal.

Will I get feedback on this journal? This journal is for you to reflect on what you have learned, so feedback is not a main part of the journal. Yes, if you have a facilitator – he/she will read it and give you very brief feedback. If you are on a course with only a moderator, you will not receive feedback. (only if the journal is empty or does not meet the word count)

Where do I write? You write on the platform, in the space. Then, click the green save button.

Advice: Write the final journal text on a document on your computer. Then, copy and paste the text. This will stop any problems of losing your text if your internet connection cuts!

Happy writing!
