Follow-up
• From
this activity, children could analyse what kinds of food they eat. Is
their diet made up of mainly cereals and fresh fruit and vegetables? Do
they eat too many sweet foods?
• Perhaps there are foods that the children would like to add to the
pyramid, but they do not know the English word.
This is an ideal
opportunity to expand their vocabulary, keeping
in mind that some foods
are a combination of food types, e.g.
soup,
hamburger or
sandwich.
