Preparation of reports

 The night auditor prepares reports that indicate the status of front office activities and operations.

 The following are the important reports generated by the night auditor during the night audit:

  Daily Operations Report

    The daily operations report summarizes the day’s business and provides insight into revenues, operating statistics and cash transactions related to the front office.
    

* The report is considered the most important outcome of the front office audit.

  Group Summary Report
  
  • 
    The group summary report generally details the various activities of the groups registered in the hotel.
    

* It generally shows the number of rooms occupied by each group in the hotel, the number of guest for each group, and the revenue generated by each group.

  VIPs Report
  

• 
  The VIPs report gives information about the total number of VIP guests registered in the hotel.
  

• 
  This report is useful for providing special services to these guests and also for the hotel in its ability to draw such type of elite guests

  High Balance Report
  

• 
  The high balance report identifies guests whose charges are approaching an account credit limit designated by the hotel.
  
• 
  In automated hotels, the high balance report may be produced at any time during the day.

  Flash Sales Summary Report
  

* The flash sales summary report gives information about the total income generated from the hotel from the F&B division as well as from the other revenue centers and also gives information about the occupancy of the rooms of the hotel for the particular day.

  Manager’s Report

  The Manager’s report is also very important report generated in the night audit process.
  

• 
  This report gives information about the occupancy percentage of the hotel, total rooms revenue, average room revenue, room count and house count.
