POETRY

Annotation. The master poet Abdulla Oripov; who is known for his works in the form of 
poetry, epics, articles, essays, interviews and translations in Uzbek Literature, is one of the main 
representatives of the Soviet and independence era. The poet has come to the forefront with his 
works, especially in the genre of poetry. The words he used in his poems reflected his feelings, 
world of thought and perspective on life. He gave detailed information about himself to the 
reader through the words he chose in his poems. Abdulla Oripov poetry, poet, homeland, nation, 
nature, nawruz, spring, autumn, philosophy, family, morality, human and so on. He has poems 
written on many subjects. The poet often emphasized Uzbekistan, which has a rich and ancient 
history, in his works. He usually included historical and literary figures in his poems. His main 
aim is to make prominent and successful personalities in Uzbek history and literature recognized 
in Uzbek and World Literature. In this study, Abdulla Oripov’s poems about Ali-Shir Nava’i will 
be evaluated in terms of language and style. At the same time, the language characteristics of the 
period in which the poet lived will be determined. In addition, the subject of content created by 
the concepts and motifs processed within the framework of the theme of Ali-Shir Nava’i will be 
examined.
