GRADUATE THESIS

Finally, in Section 3.3 the focus shifted to effective teaching methods for plural noun formation. The development of targeted teaching materials, including worksheets, exercises, communicative activities, and multimedia resources, played a crucial role. Implementation of these materials in language classrooms, along with pre- and post-tests, demonstrated positive outcomes. Learners exhibited improved understanding and proficiency in forming plural nouns, benefiting from clear explanations, relevant examples, and ample practice opportunities.
Overall, this chapter highlighted the distinctive characteristics of noun plurals in English and Uzbek, the challenges in translating compound nouns between the two languages, and the importance of employing effective teaching methods for plural noun formation. The empirical research, translation analysis, and practical work conducted underscored the need for explicit instruction, contextual understanding, and targeted practice to facilitate the mastery of noun plurals in both languages.
By recognizing and addressing these didactic features and challenges, educators and learners can enhance their understanding of noun plurals, promote accurate translation of compound nouns, and facilitate effective language learning and teaching experiences.
