IN CONCLUSION
Taking into account the different sources of information that have been used to evaluate the children’s progress and whether or not the objectives have been met and achieved, If we take into account the three most central aims: Prompt children to think positively about English and generate a personal belief and self-confidence when it comes participating in the FL classroom, enable children to learn in a more enjoyable way and to inspire the children to further their reading experience in English we can clearly see that via the use of a story children are able to learn in a more pleasurable way and that their fears and insecurities are forgotten at least whilst they are involved and taking part in the storytelling process. The idea of not using solely the textbook was a major change and one that I believed helped the children to think about exactly what they were doing become part of each activity as much as they could, by using activities such as a treasure hunt and spot the difference you allow for the maximum level of participation and create a positive and pleasant environment, these activities along with the reading of the book with the help of pictures have encouraged the children to read more English books, relating the book with their own lives and helping them see that even though we are talking in English what we are learning is very applicable to their own lives, I believe that this has help them to start thinking that English is not such a boring or tedious subject and that it is very important for their future. 3 REFERENCES: 1.
