Abstract: The spring water Spring No. 7 sample was examined by the analytical laboratory method, and the results of physical and chemical analysis of water, in particular, pH, SiO2, dry residue, Ca2+, Mg2+, Fe, CO 2-, HCO , SO 2-, Cl, NO , NO , total hardness, K, indicators such as Na, Mn, Pb, Cu, Cr, Zn, Ni, Co, As, CNS, Al were determined. The results of the chemical analysis were compared with the state standards of Uzbekistan, and the spring water was found to be chemically suitable for domestic and drinking purposes.
Key words: Chemical analysis, spring water, Gallaorol district, Jizzakh region, state standards.

Access to safe drinking water is one of the most pressing challenges facing the world today [1]. It is vital for all known forms of life, since all animals, plants and people need water in order to live, even though it does not provide calories or organic nutrients [2].

As groundwater is an important source of drinking water, its quality is of great importance [3]. Springs are underground water and play an important role in people's lives. Springs are driven out onto the surface by various natural forces, such as gravity and hydrostatic pressure. They vary in volumetric flow rate from nearly zero to more than 14,000 litres per second (490 cu ft/s) for the biggest springs [4].
Spring No. in Gallaorol district of Jizzakh region was studied. The results of the chemical analysis of the sample taken from this spring water are presented and

analyzed. The pH indicator of Spring No. 7 is 7,5, which corresponds to the state standards of Uzbekistan (requirements for the quality of domestic and drinking water

  • 6.00-9.00), and it is weak alkaline. The SiO2 indicator of spring water is 1.9 mg/dm3, and the indicator is suitable in the state standards. The dry residue of spring water is 320 mg/dm3, and the state standards state that it should be 1000.0-1500.00 mg/dm3, which means that it also meets the requirements for this indicator. The amount of Ca2+ from cations is 64.1 mg/dm3, the amount of Mg2+ is 14.6 mg/dm3, Fe

  • 0.09 mg/dm3, and meets state standards. From anions, CO32- - ˂5,0 mg/dm3, HCO3-

- 244.0, SO 2- - 89.1, Cl - 7.09, NO - 0.04, NO - 1.4 mg/dm3, conforms to state standards. The dry residue of spring water is 4.4 mg-equiv/dm3, which meets the standard requirements.
The amount of K, Na, Mn, Pb, Cu, Cr, Zn, Ni, Co, As, CNS, Al was determined in the water of Spring No. 7 (Table 1).
