1.Introduction

The period of the COVID-19 pandemic was one of the most horrible incidents that human being saw. This is because not only business sectors or companies but also the human being, from young to elder came across huge loss during pandemic period (2020-2021 in Uzbekistan). Especially, Uzbekistan which is developing country found it as an unexpected challenge. Of course, one of the huge damages was taken by hotel industry, even giant hotel companies could not realize what was going on at those times and saw sharply decrease on their market (occupancy rate decreased from 66% to 38% around the world). Naturally, pandemic period was more difficult for the-star hotels than luxury ones. This is because, in Uzbekistan, most of high rated hotels with long-time experience in market, could escape their business from failure, with the help of government in terms of taxes. But the situation was extremely different with three-star hotels in Uzbekistan due to the reason that they did not have enough budget and the inertia of being on market since long time. In this study, it will be defined that what three-star hotels’ government did under the pressure of COVID-19 pandemic in Uzbekistan, what kind of strategies did they use, what kind of internal and external helps they were received, and how did they escape their business from loss. And then we will conclude overall impact and result after the interview with the persons who are active in this business.
