INTRODUCTION

Topicality.
Along with many other subjects taught at school, the subject of English is one of the most relevant and in demand.
The topicality of learning English is dictated by the needs of the modern world. Today, English has become the international language of communication. English is the official language in 53 countries. One third of the world's population speaks English.
Despite the growing role of the language in the world and in our country, in particular, the level of English proficiency in Kazakhstan is quite low. In order for the situation to improve, it is important to identify the main problems of teaching a foreign language and ways to solve them.
Therefore, English has become a mandatory component of education not only in universities, secondary, high schools, but also in elementary school.
Learning English at school is a complex process of forming a new speech system in the cerebral cortex, which begins to coexist and constantly interact with the already developed system of the native language.
In this regard, when teaching children English, teachers of a foreign language, face a number of difficulties.
Unreasonably designed study guides that, on the one hand, trample on the same topics, and on the other hand, are too overloaded with grammar that is not explained at the right level, overloaded with vocabulary that children do not need, assignments are too complicated, and texts are written in a far from modern language.
The next problem that can be identified is conversational practice. The main goal of learning any foreign language is the ability to communicate in it with other people. The educational process should be structured so that students have the opportunity to communicate in English not only with the teacher and classmates, but also with young people for whom this language is native. This can be done thanks to the development of modern technologies. Thus, motivation would increase, and interest in learning the language would increase.
One of the main tasks of teaching a foreign language at school is to solve such an important problem as the development of independent work of students, orienting them to active creative assimilation of the material, the ability to think logically, and quickly make independent decisions.
Grammar is the area of the language where the level of possession of the above skills is most clearly manifested. Grammar is also the structure of language and turns it into speech. The study of the grammatical aspect is inevitable when mastering a foreign language. But, in turn, the assimilation of the grammar of any language causes many difficulties, which are aggravated by grammatical terms, rules and an infinite number of exceptions. All this usually does not delight the majority of students in educational institutions.
The main goal of teaching a foreign language is to develop the ability of students to use it as a multifunctional means of communication. Therefore, every teacher should strive to achieve the grammatical correctness of students' speech.
Therefore, the theme of our course work is “ Problems in teaching skills”.
