Unit 6
Problem solving
We believe problem solving should be an iterative process. You may have to go through several iterations of a procedure before reaching the goal. The first steps are problem identification and analysis. If the problem is not well-defined, it will be difficult to solve. Next, brainstorm possible solutions. Choose the best option and try it. If it doesn't work, redefine the problem. Then, attack it again. The cycle continues until you reach a satisfactory solution.
This method provides an important advantage. Your solution will be a synthesis of all your previous ideas. That makes it a collection of your best ideas. The result will be a concise and effective product.
