Laboratory work is done by each student. Students are allowed to work only
when they meet the following requirements: after familiarizing themselves with
laboratory work, after familiarizing themselves with the recommended literature and
technical safety:
1) The student performs laboratory work under the supervision of a teacher and a
laboratory assistant;
2) Before starting work, get acquainted with the principles of operation of the
equipment;
3) Before starting any work, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with its
content and sequence, and check the readiness of the necessary equipment, reagents
and containers;
4) Containers containing chemical substances must have a label with information
about this substance;
5) All solvents, easily volatile and flammable substances should be kept away
from gas stoves and electric stoves;
6) Experiments conducted using ether, alcohol and other volatile substances
should be carried out in an air-suction cabinet; It is necessary to use a "bath" with
water and sand for heating; an asbestos mesh is tightly closed over the burning
substance in a glass, crucible or other container and the fire is extinguished; if the
burning substance falls on the table or floor, it is extinguished with dry sand or
asbestos cloth; it is impossible to put out the fire by blowing.
7) The first medical aid is given to the injured student by a laboratory assistant
or a teacher.
Each student is responsible for the cleanliness of the place he works and the
condition of the equipment he uses. The results of laboratory work are shown to the
teacher for verification and confirmation.
