INTRODUCTION 
 
The quality and aesthetic decoration of printed products, their storage and 
service life mainly depend on the properties of printing materials. Therefore, it is very 
important to choose the materials used and evaluate their properties. 
This methodological manual consists of 7 laboratory works. The composition, 
assortment, structure and methods of evaluating technological indicators of paper, 
which is the main material in laboratory work, are devoted. The rest of his work is 
aimed at studying the methods of determining the quality of binders and paints. 
The methodological guide is compiled according to the curriculum and 
corresponds to the content of the main textbooks. It is recommended to use the 
methodological manual for bachelors and masters who are doing scientific work.
