ANNOTATION
In the world in the metallurgical industry, the demand for precious metals is growing day by day. In recent decades, the reduction of copper content in ore by 0.34% was aimed at increasing the integrated use of raw materials, the use of resource- and energy-saving technologies using man-made waste from the metallurgical industry, and the involvement of large volumes of recyclable man-made waste in production by integrating science with production. Of particular importance in this respect is the creation of a technology for extracting valuable components from industrial wastes of a copper processing plant (CPP).
In the world in the field of non-ferrous metallurgy, scientific research is being carried out with the aim of extracting valuable components from the composition of industrial waste of the copper industry, creating new technologies that can significantly expand the raw material base, obtaining pure non-ferrous metals that meet the requirements of domestic and foreign markets, as well as improving and mastering existing technologies . In this aspect, the creation of a technology for the extraction of valuable components from the industrial waste of a copper processing plant (CPP) is of great importance.
The Republic of Uzbekistan has a highly developed metallurgical industry, which is based on the richest natural resources. Suffice it to say that the republic is in fourth place in the world in terms of explored gold reserves and seventh in its production, seventh in uranium reserves and eleventh-twelfth in copper reserves. The republic also has significant reserves of other metals, including noble and rare earth metals, such as silver, molybdenum, bismuth, tungsten, lithium and others. A wide range of minerals has been identified on the territory of Uzbekistan, including about 140 types of mineral raw materials, of which 60 are already used in many sectors of the economy
At present, Almalyk MMC JSC is one of the largest mining and metallurgical enterprises in Central Asia. The production capacity of the plant is based on the reserves of a group of porphyry copper, lead-zinc and gold-silver deposits located in the territories of Tashkent, Jizzakh, Namangan and Surkhandarya regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The purpose of the work is to study samples taken from various sectors of the tailings of the repository to determine the conditions and the possibility of their reprocessing for additional extraction of valuable components. In the course of the research, the granulometric, chemical, and mineral compositions of the samples were determined. For these samples, the mineralogical and technological characteristics of chalcopyrite, the main mineral of copper, molybdenite and gold, are given.
