Early scientists created a prototype of a voice-controlled wheelchair. This wheelchair is designed for physically challenged people who have mobility issues and cannot use certain mechanical devices. For this reason, scientists have developed a different way of controlling a wheelchair, voice control.
The voice controlled wheelchair and ultrasonic sensor system is shown in figure 1.4 and described in the following process.
Speech recognition devices are widely used in the medical field, in robotics and assistive functions for the disabled, as well as in many speech recognition applications. Some smartphones make interesting use of speech recognition. Examples are iPhone and Android devices. With them, you can start calling a contact by accepting spoken instructions like Call of Office. Other commands can also be enabled, such as "Enable Bluetooth". Speech Recognition Problems In an application called Speech to Text (STT), speech recognition has long been used to translate spoken words into text.

Conclusion. In this article, the author presents concepts and proofs of acoustic modeling of the speech signal. Acoustic model units of speech are an integral part of automatic speech recognition (ASR) systems. The main goal of acoustics is to model sound units based on information obtained from acoustic feature vectors. The nonlinear dynamic nature of the speech signal makes acoustic modeling a challenging task. In the article, the main types of acoustic modeling are observed and effective approaches are analyzed. These are statistical modeling and nonlinear modeling approaches based on ANN. HMM can handle the temporal and spectral variability of the speech signal originally input for acoustic modeling.
ANN is more suitable for acoustic modeling. In addition, the computational unit of ANN, which is inherently non-linear, makes it more suitable for speech sound unit modeling. Thus, HMM/GMM-based systems are gradually being replaced by HMM/ANN systems and are increasingly being used.
