STUDY OF THE PROPERTIES OF OIL AND ITS PRODUCTS
Purpose of work.Determination of the fractional composition of liquid fuels, solvents and other light petroleum products.


Equipment, devices and utensils used
The apparatus shown in Figure 1 is used to determine the fractional composition of petroleum products. A tube with a volume of 125 cm3 used for driving (Fig. 1). In addition, a measuring cylinder with a volume of 1 cm3 with a volume of 100 cm3. The cylinder is placed in a special container to cool the pumped substance. This container is filled with coolant up to the height of 100 cm3 of the cylinder. Glass thermometers will be needed.

To do this, 100 cm3 of the analyte is measured and pumped in a special apparatus (Figure 7.1).
Methods of driving oil and oil products are one of the key indicators in determining the quality of oil and oil products. When we analyze oil, we get a first impression of its quality. By driving fuel products, we will be able to get advance information about how they work in car engines.
Substances with the same chemical composition are driven at a certain temperature. For these reasons, there are almost no special requirements for them. Because oil and petroleum products are complex organic compounds composed of various hydrocarbons, they are driven and analyzed in specially designed equipment.
