FINANCIAL CONTROL SYSTEMS
Control systems that relate functions and visions to resources basically influence immediate
activities and experiences. In addition, they affect transformation for the future: the ability to
fulfil functions, deal with novelties, escape dysfunctions and adapt to disturbances. Control
systems develop over time. Structure and control systems have always been changing, either
through evolution or as a result of specific design decisions, and they are still changing.
What is going on during the first decade of the 21
st
century can be regarded as a further step
in a long-term economic process of structure, control systems and specific activities. Below,
I will discuss the state of financial control systems from this angle.
