all in one[1]

Somebody would be dreadfully jealous if she knew. The greeneyed monster. (Earnestly.) You know how difficult it is. Ineedn'ttellyou.8
Кой-кто смертельно бы ревновал, узнай она только. Чудище с зелеными глазами. (Серьезно.) Тыжезнаешь, какэтотрудно, чтотебеобъяснять.9
The monster with green eyes is a metaphor of jealousy from Shakespeare's play Othello; undoubtedly, it is well known to both English-speaking and Russian readers.
On the other hand, the source of the quotation in the following example should be well known to the English-speaking reader of the original, but the reader of the translation, in all probability, will not be able to find it out on his own.
At this remark, passed obviously in the spirit of where ignorance is bliss, Mr Bloom and Stephen, each in his own particular way, both instinctively exchanged meaning glances, in a religious silence of the strictly entre nous variety however, towards where Skin-the-Goat, alias the keeper, was drawing spurts of liquid from his boiler affair. (P.726)
При сем замечании, явно выдававшем неведенья блаженную невинность, мистер Блум и Стивен, каждый по-своему, но оба невольно бросили многозначительный взгляд, храня, однако, благоговейное молчание того рода, что означает «строго антр ну», туда где Козья Шкура, он же хозяин, исторгал струйки жидкости из своего кипятильного агрегата. (С. 609)
Finally, the last of the highlighted categories is the category of the intertextual element format.Based on the classifications developed by N.A. Fateeva and M.L. Malakhovskaya, from the point of view of oppositions significant for translation, we distinguish the following categorical forms in the category of intertextualism format:
1. quote;
2. allusion;
3. parody;
4. stylization.
Speaking about the category of the format of an intertextual element, it should be noted that this category is important, first of all, at the stage of analysis; at the stage of synthesis, in cases where an attempt to preserve the formal component of the original leads to a literal translation and does not provide the transfer of meaning, the transfer of form can be abandoned. The format of intertextualism should be preserved without prejudice to the transfer of its dominant function and level of functioning.
Thus, the proposed categorization allows us to consider various characteristics of intertextual elements in their totality, which contributes to a deeper interpretation and a more complete analysis of the literary text, and also has practical value for the translation of intertextualisms in fiction.

A quotation

 is a figure of speech, in which an object or circumstance from unrelated context is referred to covertly or indirectly. It is left to the audience to make the direct connection. Where the connection is directly and explicitly stated (as opposed to indirectly implied) by the author, it is instead usually termed a reference. In the arts, a literary allusion puts the alluded text in a new context under which it assumes new meanings and denotations.

is the repetition of a sentence, phrase, or passage from speech or text that someone has said or written.In oral speech, it is the representation of an utterance (i.e. of something that a speaker actually said) that is introduced by a quotative marker, such as a verb of saying. For example: John said: "I saw Mary today". Quotations in oral speech are also signaled by special prosody in addition to quotative markers.

In linguistics, - or loan translation is a word or phrase borrowed from another language by literal word-for-word or root-for-root translation. When used as a verb, "to calque" means to borrow a word or phrase from another language while translating its components, so as to create a new lexeme in the target language. For instance, the English word "skyscraper" led to calques in dozens of other languages.

 is the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work. In educational contexts, there are differing definitions of plagiarism depending on the institution.Plagiarism is considered a violation of academic integrity and a breach of journalistic ethics. It is subject to sanctions such as penalties, suspension, expulsion from school[4] or work, substantial fines and even imprisonment.

 is the communication of the meaning of a source-language text by means of an equivalent target-language text. The English language draws a terminological distinction (which does not exist in every language) between translating (a written text) and interpreting (oral or signed communication between users of different languages); under this distinction, translation can begin only after the appearance of writing within a language community.

is a work of visual art, literature, theatre, music, or architecture that imitates the style or character of the work of one or more other artists.[1] Unlike parody, pastiche celebrates, rather than mocks, the work it imitates.
also called a spoof, a send-up, a take-off, a lampoon, a play on (something), or a caricature, is a creative work designed to imitate, comment on, and/or make fun of its subject by means of satiric or ironic imitation. Often its subject is an original work or some aspect of it — theme/content, author, style, etc. But a parody can also be about a real-life person (e.g. a politician), event, movement.
